Depois de uma má experiencia em casa com uma inundação a meio da noite, decidi por as mãos á obra e construir um detector de água que me avisasse a meio da noite quando água andasse no chão.
After a bad experience in my appartment with a flood in the middle of the night, i've decided to start a new project and build my self a water detector that would warn me in the middle of the night if water would start running through the floor.
O circuito que projectei é bastante pequeno, usa uma pilha de 9V ( mas pode ser usado um transformador de parede ), detecta eficientemente a água entre os seus sensores, tem modo de poupança de energia e monitoriza a voltagem da pilha indicando quando esta está prestes a ficar sem carga.
The circuit is very small, it uses a 9V battery ( but any wall power supply can be used ), it detects very efficiently water between it's sensors, has a power saving mode and it even checks the battery's voltage with indication when the voltage is getting low.
Para os sensores usei umas chapinhas de aluminio. É de evitar usar materiais como cobre ou ferro pois com o tempo vão se deteriorando e reduzindo a capacidade de detectar a água.
Os melhores materiais a usar são o aluminio e o aço inox.
For the sensors, i used small aluminium plates. We must avoid using copper or steel since it will increase it's contact resistance with time and therefore reducing the detection capability.
The best materials are alluminium and stainless steel.
