Ao fazer o circuito da vela pequenita ( vela-electronica-com-led ), fez-me lembrar um projecto de uma pequena revista de electronica que construí com o meu pai quando era pequeno.
O circuito constituido por uma lâmpada incandescente, um LDR e alguns transistores, pretendia simular o acender e apagar de uma vela.
Para ligar a lâmpada era necessário uma fonte de luz intensa no LDR e assim usava-se então um fósforo. Com a luz ligada o LDR permanecia-se iluminado e só quando o LDR deixasse de receber luz a lâmpada apagava. Para a apagar usava-se a técnica do soprar a vela e ao colocar a mão á volta da lâmpada esta tapava o LDR. O único problema era que a lâmpada ficava sempre no seu brilho máximo ( não simulando desta forma uma vela ).
Making the circuit of the small led candle ( electronic-led-candle/ ), reminded me of a project featured in a small electronic magazine and built by me and my dad when i was still a little boy.
The circuit containing a light bulb, one LDR and some transistors, was intended to simulate the light on and off of a candle.
To turn the lamp on it needed a bright light on the LDR and for that a match was used. With the lamp on the LDR was receiving light from the bulb and only when the LDR was covered from light the lamp would turn off. To turn it off was as simple as blow out a candle placing the hand arround the lamp and over the LDR. The only problem was that the lamp didnt fliker ( not simulating a candle this way ).
Actualmente já é possivel encontrar no mercado este tipo de velas electrónicas. Eu decidi fazer a minha versão.
Re-escrevi o programa do micro-controlador e adicionei-lhe um LDR e um pequeno botão.
It is now possible to find these type of electronic candles in stores. I decided to make my own version.
I re-wrote the microcontroller's program and added a small push button and a LDR.
Como funciona:
O micro-controlador irá esperar por uma luz brilhante no LDR. Ao colocarmos um fósforo junto do LDR o led irá acender e simular o cintilar de uma chama. Continuará aceso até que seja premido o pequeno botão.
How it works:
The microcontroller will wait until the LDR detects a bright light. Placing a flaming match close to the LDR the led will turn on and simulate the blinking pattern of a flame. It will stay on until the little push button is pressed.
A vela foi feita com Polymorph. No interior estão o led e o LDR.
The candle was made from Polymorph. Inside are the led and LDR.
Com o led aceso a vela de polymorph fica bastante iluminada.
With the led turned on the polymorph candle gets well illuminated.
Da placa experimental passei para PCI.
