Painel matricial a leds - Led Matrix Board
Recebi há poucas semanas este painel de informação.
O "LED Dot Matrix Red Display Information Board" ( DE-DP104 ) é vendido na ebay pelo vendedor Sure Electronics.
Ele é composto por 4 matrizes de leds de 8x8 resultando num painel informativo de 8x32 mas também é possivel juntar no total 4 paineis lado a lado e ligá-los em conjunto através de um flat cable que vem incluido em cada um.
I received some weeks ago this led matrix board.
The "LED Dot Matrix Red Display Information Board" ( DE-DP104 ) is sold on ebay from supplyer Sure Electronics.
It is made with 4 sets of 8x8 led matrix resulting in a message board of 8x32. It's also possible to connect 4 more of these boards together with a flat cable ( incluided ) increasing the lenght of the message displayed.
A única coisa a apontar é apenas o acabamento final do painel na parte traseira que apresenta várias manchas de fluxo resultante das soldaduras.
The only thing i need to mention is the finishing which in the backside, where the components are soldered, there are lots of flux stains from soldering.
A comunicação com o painel é por SPI. Este tipo de comunicação não costuma ser muito "user friendly" mas quem souber trabalhar com este tipo de comunicação não irá ter dificuldades em usar o painel.
É possivel escolher a intensidade de luz graças a uma resolução de 16 niveis de PWM.
The board uses SPI protocol. This type of interface normally is not very "user friendly" but anyone how knows how to work with this type of interface will be able to work with this board easily.
It's possible to choose the light intensity from the leds thanks to a PWM with 16 steps.
Na fotografia acima mostro um exemplo do painel a funcionar. Foi utilizado um microcontrolador 16F88 e o nivel máximo de PWM.
Na fotografia abaixo mostro a mesma mensagem mas com um pedaço de papel a cobrir o painel.
The picture above shows an example of the board working. I used a 16F88 microcontroller with the PWM at the highest level.
The picture bellow shows the same message but with a sheet of paper in front of the leds.
O consumo máximo indicado pelo fabricante é de 220mA e está disponivel também com leds em verde e amarelo.
The total current draw indicated by the manufacturer is 220mA and it's available with green or yellow leds also.
O painel mede 153mm por 53mm e pesa 80gr.
